On today’s episode, we welcome Darryl Edwards, who may arguably be one of the most fun paleo authorities around. Darryl is a speaker, a coach, nutritionist, an author, and the founder of Fitness Explorer Training. You might recognize his Primal Play methodology or perhaps you’ve just seen him piggybacking his friends around at different events. He’s been published in magazines like ELLE, Men’s Fitness, Women’s Health, and he even has a feature in an international documentary called We Love Paleo. Darryl was also recently interviewed for a new book called Born Primal and his goal with Primal Play is to make movement and activity fun and effective. Making individuals healthier and fitter in a way that’s enjoyable, rather than tedious. Although it certainly can be, play doesn’t have to mean silly or superfluous. As you’ll learn in this episode, play can also be an intense workout and help you become faster, fitter and stronger. Darryl’s method is not about rules and incremental improvements, but about moving your body creatively and using your environment to do so. Today, Darryl gives us some tips on how we can start running like a bear, chasing cars, climbing trees and putting play into practice. He also talks about the state of paleo both in London and the U.S and the future of the movement. Take a listen!
