On this week’s episode we welcome Dr. Becky Campbell, the author of The 30-Day Thyroid Reset Plan. Dr. Campbell talks to us all about her book and her holistic philosophy towards health and wellness. She explains the importance of the thyroid gland and how deeply it affects our physical and mental health. Until recently, the thyroid has not been given a lot of attention from the medical community, and it still seems to be emerging as something that is accepted as a huge determinant for human health. Dr. Campbell explains some of the reasons for this and also covers how her own health issues led her on a journey of discovery that ended with her a becoming a functional health practitioner. She takes us through the symptoms of unhealthy thyroid activity and explains the differences in how this can manifest.
